HANOI CITY TOUR (Half day)

The present site of Hanoi was chosen for Vietnam’s capital by King Ly Nam De as early as AD542 and was renamed Thang Long (Soaring Dragon) in later 1010. Hanoi has since remained of many Royal dynasties. Hanoi today is the political, commercial and cultural capital of the whole country. Once in Hanoi, you will find yourself in a one thousand-year old city of interesting pre-1940 architecture with various beauty spots, including many lakes.

With the Half day Hanoi city tour, you will have the chance to visit Temple of Literature, Vietnam’s first university constructed in 1070, it’s gardens and well-preserved architecture offers a relaxing glimpse into Vietnam’s past. And the next visit is Museum of Ethnology – a research centre and a public museum exhibiting the ethnic groups of Vietnam. After that, driving past Tran Quoc pagoda – Hanoi’s oldest pagoda and Hoan Kiem Lake, represented the spiritual heart of the city.

Hanoi Vicinities Tour

Half day tour to visit Bat Trang ceramic village, the famous village is situated approx 15km outside of Hanoi, surrounded by fertile farmland. Watch the artisans forming, painting and glazing their products, which are then baked for several days in huge kilns. Then we will take you to Dong Ky wood carving village is far from Hanoi 25km, famous for producing beautiful traditional furniture inlaid with mother-of-pearl. This tour is also your wonderful souvenir-shopping opportunity.

Cycle and Water Puppet Show

Enjoy leisurely one-hour cyclo tour (xich lo) wandering through the classic streets of Hanoi’s Old Quarters to experience the bustling, real lifestyle and business of the Quarter. Then you will attend the performance of the famous Vietnamese traditional art of water puppetry at Thang Long Theatre. Water puppetry is a traditional art form with distinctive culture identity of Vietnam. it came to existence, developed and diversified over a thousand years ago in the Red River Delta. Water puppetry showed daily life of villagers such as farming, fishing, romance, children playing and the topics of the plays are picked from ancient legends, myths and historic stages.

Full Day Tour to Ha Long Bay

Ha Long Bay, listed as a World Heritage Area of outstanding natural beauty. “Dragon descending to the sea” as it is known in Vietnamese, picturesque Ha Long Bay has more than 1,000 limestone islets rising from the sea, many of them containing beautiful grottoes. Driving to Ha Long Bay through the lush, scenic Red River Delta and enjoy a relaxing 4-hour boat trip through Ha Long Bay with many islands of innumerable shapes and forms seem to go up and down with waves of the emerald sea. The limestone of the islands have been carved by nature into many such marvellous caves as Heaven Gate Cave (Dong Thien Cung – discovered in 1994) Wooden Head Cave (Hang Dau Go), Virgin Cave (Hang Trinh Nu), all with exciting legends. Fresh seafood lunch is prepared and served on board.

Full Day Tour to Hoa Lu – Tam Coc

We leave Hanoi head south for a 2-hour drive to Ninh Binh. We spend one hour visiting two remaining temples of the Dinh and Le Dynasties of the ancient citadel of Hoa Lu. After lunch, move on to Tam Coc, often called “Dry Ha Long Bay” where Limestone carts rise from rice fields and winding streams. Enjoy the spectacular scenery during a leisurely boat ride in traditional local sampans paddling through Three caves that made Vietnam famous in the French film ‘Indochina’: Hang Ca, Hang Giua and Hang Cuoi.
