MEMBERSHIP

• ISBT membership opens up the whole world of blood transfusion and transfusion medicine, enabling you to establish contacts with fellow members in other countries and continents, and participate in international events
• ISBT members receive Vox Sanguinis and Transfusion Today and ISBT basic documents (Membership List, Technical Guides, etc.) free of charge
• ISBT members are offered a reduced fee for ISBT International end Regional Congresses

Through the Board of Directors, Standing Committees, Working Parties and Expert Panels, ISBT members have the opportunity to take an active role in the organisation of the Society's activities, on an international or regional level.

Who can become a member?

There are three categories of members: Individual Members, Affiliate Members (blood transfusion centres, institutions, etc.) and Honorary Members.

• Individual:
  Persons who have demonstrated a sustained interest in the field of blood transfusion medicine and science or related disciplines.
• Affiliate:
  An organisation, society, association or service, adhering to the ISBT Code of Ethics. Acceptance is decided by the Board.
• Honorary:
  Honorary members are members who have rendered distinguished service to the ISBT.

Send off the appropriate membership application form to the ISBT Central Office.

How much does it cost?

• Each category of members, except Honorary Members has an annual fee to pay (in Euro's).
• Prospective individual members who experience difficulties with payment (for personal financial reasons, or due to exchange restrictions) may be sponsored, or may apply for exemption from membership fee.
