As the term implies, Regional Directors act as advisers for the WHO
region which they represent. They should assist the Membership Committee
in recruiting new members, both individual and affiliated, and keep in
contact with existing members in their region to advise them of ISBT
activities. They should work closely with the Secretary-General and
inform him of any particular problems or difficulties within their
region.
They should assist the organisers of Congresses held within their
region. This may be done informally or by holding a position ex-officio
on the Congress Organising Committee. |
